Hey, I'm Stephen and this is my first entry here on fightofyourlife. I just discoered the Fight last night when my sister asked me to take her to what she only knew was "A free Christian concert where a guy would be speaking."

Thanks, sister. That tells me a whole lot. I didn't know who was playing, and being an audio engineer I wanted to know what kind of music there was. She didn't know who was speaking, and I make it a point to know what I'm getting myself into. On top of that, a friend of mine calls me up saying she's attending a dance recital (.....) that just happens to be going on at the same time... at the same place.

So I was skeptical. The only reason I still went was because the recital was in the Auditorium, but apparently this 'concert' was at the gym. We went anyway though. I knew my sister was really pumped about this and it wouldn't hurt me to show some support.

Let me just say, all my pre-concieved pessimism vanished when  the event got started. The music was invigorating, the performances were great, and I really felt the Spirit moving through the kids in the crowd. As soon as I heard that there were opportunities to help, I memorized the website and here I am!

So, about me. My name is Stephen, as I said, and I'm about to graduate with an AAS degree in Contemporary Musicianship and Audio Technology. I enjoy working with audio/video equipment, but I also love getting in there and interacting with people. I'm a musician as well and currently lead worship at Valley Christian Fellowhip on Sunday evenings.
