One of the most incredible moments of my life was when I watched 3/4 of the kids in the bleachers come to accept Christ or rededicated thier lives at the FOYL event held at the La Center High School on the 10th of January. It was so amazing! I had tears of joy flowing for the remainder of the evening. I think what was so moving to me is that I have known many of these kids since pre-school and some even before. I have watched them grow and seen many of them go astray. To watch these same kids walk down and make a public confession of faith, touched my heart like nothing else. My prayer is that these kids will get plugged in and that they will grow in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus! If anyone reads this I pray you will join me in praying for a revival in the school. What better place to start? I pray that hearts would truly be attuned to God and that His love will spread like wildfire at La Center High School!
These are our future, teachers, pastors, youth workers, doctors, moms & dads, etc.. If we don't lead them in the truth who will?
The FOYL is one of the best events, geared for youth, that I have ever been to. Mike Miller is a dynamic speaker and knows how to grab a hold of the kids' hearts. God uses Mike in a very powerful way.
I will definitly go again and again and will invite every kid I run across!
May it be Christ who receives all glory and honor due Him!!
