About Sixteen Cities From the rain-ridden valleys of Portland, Oregon, comes a fresh new sound in the Northwest. With heavy roots in contemporary worship, Sixteen Cities (formerly Issakar) exhibits a ministry of innovative music with a powerful message. Before ever recording an album, Issakar led worship together on their high school campus, starting a ministry called Wednesday Morning Worship. After several years of playing music together, Issakar became a full-time ministry. In 2005, Issakar released "The Times", a debut album featuring 13 original songs. The band soon after established Issakar LLC and began making waves in the Northwest as an independent Christian artist. A rigorous tour schedule propelled the band across the west coast, performing in numerous events, concerts, and festivals. Issakar have performed alongside artists such as Kutless, Shawn McDonald, Building 429, Sonic Flood, Rock and Roll Worship Circus, PivitPlex, Ruth and Hyperstatic Union. In every endeavor, Sixteen Cities remains solely determined to glorify and make known the name of their Savior. Sixteen Cities changed their name from Issakar after their recent signing with Centricity Records. They are now in the process of putting together a nation-wide CD release tour. Sixteen Cities is five-piece band consisting of Josiah Warneking, Josh Miller, Dustin Erhardt, Robbie Tice, and Joel Warneking. All members of the band are in their early 20’s, and have committed their entire lives the ministry of Sixteen Cities. |
